Traitors!

My parents came home today smelling of strange dogs! Traitors!

They said that they went to see some sled dogs at the park and that they could not bring me. They even showed me a picture of this sign they said they saw:

That certainly couldn't apply to ME!  Could it???  Have I been sleeping too much?  Am I out of touch?

I am VERY helpful

Today we went to visit a tire store again.

After I took my mother for a walk, I came back and just laid down by the camper so no one could get near it. No one could get me away. My father told me I was a good dog (why not a great dog???)

When we got to our campground I found a nice place to lie down and enjoy the flora.........

But I did not go to sleep until I got inside!

I was wondering....

Do you dogs out there ever wonder what your parents do with your doodies?

I know that my parents always pick them up and tie them up in neat little plastic bags - sometimes blue - sometimes black.

Do they have a room full of them at home? Do they sell them to constipated dogs who are trying to convince their parents that they are really regular?

Do they throw them out???

Perhaps the answer will come to me when I am asleep.

Sigh....

Again I've been spending too much time alone in my camper.  It allows me to think too much.

While I'm glad that my parents are going out and having a good time, I can't help but be upset that so many places don't allow members of my species to visit.  Discrimination!

I would start to rally and recruit other canines for an anti-discrimination group except that I don't like other canines and growl at them if they try to come anywhere near me.

I hope that I will spend more time with my parents tomorrow or maybe go for a ride in my truck.

Now I'll go to sleep.

Problems

I spent alot of time in car place waiting rooms and just sitting in my truck today.

I think my parents are having problems with my Airstream.

That makes me sad - and sleepy.  Well, everything makes me sleepy.

I am somewhere..

My parents and I have settled in for a few days in a place called Fairbanks. It is warm and sunny all day and all night. I like that.

On our trip up my parents stopped at a place that sold dog bones. This is me and my father at the dog bone store.

Then I took my mother for a walk by a very nice lake named Birch.

All these adventures will assure me a good night's sleep tonight - even if it is light all the time.

Alaska

My parents and I have been traveling again so I am not lonesome anymore.  See how happy I am.

I LOVE bouncing up and down over the frost heaves on the Alaska Highway!

My parents tell me that we are in Alaska.  I am looking forward to all the new smells  I'll smell and all the interesting places I can walk my parents.

But first I must get a good night's sleep.

I'm lonesome

Here is a picture of me stopping to smell the flowers, or maybe the scent of another dog.

I've also been sleeping alot.

Buffalo - no, not the city

Today I barked at several buffalo that were on the side of the highway.

Yesterday I chased a chipmunk.

All this has made me very tired.  I'm going to sleep.

My poses

My parents want to put together a bunch of pictures showing my different poses.

They have too much time on their hands.

However, this is my Sphinx pose, whatever a Sphinx is...

Will I dream of Sphinxes when I go to sleep?

Today my parents and I arrived at a famous place called Dawson Creek.

Here is a picture of me and my family at an important road sign.

I look very short in this photo, don't I?

I'm going to sleep

My morning routine

Nothing special happened today so I thought I'd tell you a bit about my morning routine when I am camping with my parents.

As you know, as long as the weather is not too cold, I spend my nights sleeping in my house in the living area of the camper.  This is a picture of me in my house.  It is very comfortable and I get to keep an eye on everything my parents are doing while they are awake.

Although I enjoy my house, at around 6:30 AM I go into my parent's bedroom and jump up on their bed and stretc out and sleep with them for a while.  They really enjoy this, even though they are asleep.

After a while the wake up and start petting me and rubbing my joints and my belly and telling me what a wonderful dog I am.  They get so engrossed in this that I finally have to stop them by jumping off the bed to remind them that I need a walk and some breakfast.

My father starts to get dressed and then we play games.  First he beats me with his socks (the clean ones) and then he hides me under my blanket and says "where's Belle?"  I always come out quickly so he doesn't think he really lost me.

While I go out for my walk, the dog food fairy comes and lays out my breakfast for me. I've never seen the fairy, but s/he must be very fond of me because I always get a good breakfast!

After breakfast I relax and wait for the day to begin.

Sometimes I fall asleep again.

I am mesmerized

I don't know if it's the highway or the birds or the prairie dogs, but I can keep looking at this vista all day.

Until I go to sleep.

A funny sign

My parents saw this funny sign today and took a picture of it.

I wonder what it means?

I'll think about it while I'm asleep.

Driving again

My parents tell me that we have not had a good internet connection for a while.

Now I am back again! Did you miss me???

We are driving alot now. It gives me time to relax napping or looking out the window.

This is a picture of me riding in my truck.

I also get to take walks in new places all the time when we are driving. This is a picture of me walking my father.

This particular spot had a strange decorative object there.  This is a picture of it.

So this is what people do with opposible thumbs!

It puts me to sleep.

BORING!

For the past two days my parents have left me in the camper while they've gone out to do other things.

If they're out, I don't get any lunch!

I am not a happy camper!

I'm going to sleep.

Drake

This is a picture of me enjoying a lovely park in Drake, ND.

It does not get dark here until very late.  I'm going to try and go to sleep anyhow.

North Dakota

This is a picture of me being welcomed to North Dakota by a friendly bison.

North Dakota looks like a good place to sleep.

I am on alert!

My parents and I are staying at an Airstream park in Minnesota at a site owned by my godparents, Bob and Dan, who are not here.

I met a dog named Jack. when we went out to dinner.  Jack dug up some plants and is going to be in trouble!!!!

I have been alert the whole time I have been outside today.  I don't know why, but I am looking for something.  I don't know what it is, but I am waiting for it!  See the picture of me being alert?  I will be alert until I go to sleep, which will be soon.

My parents are good to me..

Last night it started to rain and lightening and thunder.

My paretns picked me up and put me into their bed so I wouldn't be scared.

Then I slept well.

I love my parents!

Torture!

My parents took me to this store and tried this THING on me!  It's supposed to keep me safe in the woods, but look at it....I'm a dog!  I don't wear clothes!

It makes me look SHORT!!

If I go to sleep, will it go away?

Back in the USA

We had a very long wait to get over the border.  The guard stared at me and asked if I would jump out the window.  ME!!!!!????

We stayed in a KOA and I went on two walks that enabled me to check some other canine wee-wee blogs.  None are as good as mine.
I went to bed early and slept well.
